About Vitoria Arts School
Vitoria Arts School is the official school of Vitoria Dance Company. We are committed to teaching our students to serve the Lord with excellence by offering the best quality classes, teaching strong technique, offering bible studies, and performing opportunities. Vitoria was nominated for the Nickelodeon Parents Pick Award for Best Dance Classes in Central Ohio!
It is important that dance students not only learn dance technique but all aspects of dance. That is why students will take tests on ballet terminology, dance history, famous contemporary choreographers etc. throughout the year. Intermediate-Advanced ballet levels will be required to take an examination to progress to the next level. This examination will be held on the last Friday and Saturday of classes. Each student will be asked to demonstrate a certain movement or a series of movements that was taught to them during the year.
Similar to our dance students drama and music students will approach their art in a more holistic manner. Students will not only learn the technique and positioning in their studies but the history behind their art. Students in these classes will also learn ways to worship through the art they are studying. In order to progress to the next level students in these classes will be evaluated at the end of the year.
Not only is Vitoria Arts School a place where students learn about dance but it is also a place where students will learn about God. Bible studies will be available once a week for students enrolled in the student dance companies. In addition to classes and bible studies there will also be parties and movie nights offered throughout the year. Though Vitoria Arts School is a Christian dance school you do not have to be a Christian to attend classes. We want you and your student to gain the most from your experience at Vitoria Arts school that is why each student will have their schedule tailored to their needs. Juniors and seniors in high school who wish to pursue a career in dancing will be guided to the best college and/or company for them. We look forward to serving our community with the highest of standards!

What is the Student Dance Company?
The student companies are for anyone ages 8 and older. There are three student company levels: Junior, Senior and Ensemble. Students must take the required classes to participate in the companies. Company dancers will rehearse on Saturdays and have many performance opportunities. Students who are chosen to be a part of the companies will perform at schools, after school programs, nursing homes, community events and even some company performances. In addition to performances students will have community service opportunities. We will also have a slumber party and attend dance workshops. Each week we will do a weekly devotional/bible study and memorize a Bible verse of the week. The company that memorizes their verses the best each week will get a pizza party at the end of the year. This is a great opportunity for students to gain confidence, build friendships and give back to the community!
